Weathernews at TIF 2026 | Hall 13, Stand J01

Weathernews combines advanced weather forecasting, artificial intelligence, and meteorological expertise to help governments, businesses, and the public make better decisions before, during, and after weather events.

At the Japanese Pavilion, visitors will have the opportunity to discover how the use of meteorological information supports a wide range of activities — from everyday planning through the Global Weather App, to maritime operations with SeaNavigator, and critical infrastructure and energy operations through the Frontier platform.

At the Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF), Weathernews will also highlight how scientific research, seasonal forecasting, and operational decision-support services contribute to strengthening resilience against increasingly complex weather- and climate-related risks.

Planned Activities


  • Official presentation of the Global Weather App at TIF.
  • Presentation of the latest research by Dr. Teppei Yasunari on climate variability, wildfire risk, and resilience, followed by a panel discussion with representatives from government and industry.
  • Live demonstrations of the Global Weather App, SeaNavigator, and Frontier throughout the exhibition.

 

Dr. Yasunari’s research focuses on the relationship between climate variability, atmospheric circulation patterns, wildfires, air quality, and their broader social and economic impacts. His work contributes to a deeper understanding of how large-scale climate factors influence wildfire occurrence, environmental risks, and resilience, supporting improved preparedness and better decision-making.
